Cookie Policy

Last updated: June 18, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Texty Technologies Ltd ("Texty", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on the Texty platform at texty.app and our payment pages (the "Service"). It should be read with our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies (such as local storage, pixels and software development kits) work in comparable ways. They can be:

  • Strictly necessary — required to make the Service work and keep it secure. These do not need your consent.
  • Non-essential — for analytics, preferences or marketing. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), these may only be placed with your consent.

Cookies can also be first-party (set by Texty) or third-party (set by a provider we use).

2. The cookies and similar technologies we use

(a) Strictly necessary

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies to:

  • authenticate you and keep you signed in (our authentication provider, Supabase, sets session and security tokens);
  • keep the Service secure (for example to protect against fraud and to balance load); and
  • remember essential settings needed for the Service to function.

These are required for the Service to work and cannot be switched off through the Service.

(b) Analytics / performance

We use Vercel Analytics to understand how the Service is used (for example which pages are visited) so we can improve it. Vercel Analytics is designed to be privacy-friendly and, by default, does not use cookies to track individuals or collect directly identifying information.

(c) Other / marketing

We do not currently use any non-essential cookies, marketing or advertising pixels, embedded media, or third-party tracking tags. If we add any in future, they will be listed here and set only after consent.

3. Do we need a cookie consent banner?

Based on our current setup, Texty uses only strictly necessary cookies (Supabase authentication tokens) and cookieless analytics (Vercel Analytics). Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), strictly necessary cookies do not require consent, and Vercel Analytics does not set cookies or collect personally identifiable information.

We therefore do not currently require a cookie consent banner. This position will need to be reviewed if any non-essential cookies, marketing pixels, or third-party tracking tags are added in future — in which case a compliant consent mechanism must be implemented before those technologies are deployed.

5. Managing cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings, and (where we offer one) through our cookie preferences tool. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the Service from working. Browser "Do Not Track" signals are handled as required by applicable law.

6. Changes and contact

We may update this policy from time to time and will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date. Questions can be sent to [email protected].
